As the Leadership Chair, I design and teach leadership lessons for my peers, fostering their development and understanding. As the Philanthropy Chair, I plan and coordinate volunteer events, actively addressing various community needs. Places of Service and Contribution in my Community: Marian House: In this local homeless shelter, I engage in a spectrum of activities, from serving meals to maintaining the facility, and addressing the immediate needs of the homeless community. Ronald McDonald House: My efforts are centered on supporting families with hospitalized children, including preparing meals, organizing recreational activities, and maintaining the facility. Habitat for Humanity: I actively contribute to home-building projects, acquiring valuable construction and teamwork skills, and directly assisting families in need. Special Olympics: Focusing on tennis events, I coach athletes, assist in event management, and provide support and encouragement to participants. Kids on Bikes: This initiative promotes children's physical activity and health. I organize bike rides, teach bike safety, and engage in various cycling activities with the kids. Care and Share in Colorado Springs: At this food bank, I sort and package food, aid in food drives, and distribute food, tackling food insecurity in our community. CPCD Headstart: I support this organization by assisting teachers in classrooms, organizing educational materials, and engaging in activities that foster early childhood development. Silver Key: Serving senior citizens, I participate in meal preparation and delivery, and companionship programs.
